Walnut Street School invites all interested families to attend our Open House and Kindergarten Orientation. This event is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our school community and the many opportunities available to our students.
During the event, families will have the chance to meet our principal and staff members, tour the school building, and discover the programs and experiences that make Walnut Street School a special place for learning. Staff will also be available to answer any questions you may have about our school and kindergarten program.

🎨 Walnut Street Celebrates International Dot Day! 🎨
Students and teachers at Walnut Street joined millions of people around the world to celebrate International Dot Day, inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot. This special day encourages creativity, courage, and collaboration by reminding us all to “make our mark and see where it takes us.” Students showed their individuality and imagination as they created their own unique dots.
This day is a great reminder that everyone has the power to be creative and to make a difference. At Walnut Street, we’re proud to celebrate our students’ creativity and the courage to see where their creativity takes them with “just a dot.”

From creative projects in the classrooms to collaborative art projects inspired by the stories of 9/11, our students celebrated the courage, unity and spirit of community brought forth by the events of this day in 2001. Red, white and blue filled our hallways as we remembered the lives lost and the heroes who stepped forward.
