From the President's Desk
Our students here at Walnut Street are very fortunate to be enrolled in a school with an outstanding administration and exceptional teachers who strive to fulfill the schools mission of promoting health, well-being and educational success. It is through your support of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) that we join in that mission.
The Walnut Street School PTA plays an important role because it brings together the efforts of parents and teachers to help make Walnut Street School the best learning environment for our children. At Walnut Street, we are more than just a school, we are a community. Each parent and teacher is a valuable contributor to our children's education. The purpose of the PTA is to first and foremost support our children. "Every Child-One Voice" is the National PTA motto and the PTA is one of the strongest voices in the educational process that directly supports our children and school. Through Walnut Street School PTA, we can work together on issues that affect our children inside and outside of the classroom.
An effective and successful PTA requires support and involvement of the parents of our children. We strongly encourage everyone to join the PTA by becoming members and paying dues. Your membership allows the PTA to raise funds to provide a wide range of educational enrichment programs for the students at Walnut Street. Please note that you do not have to be a member of the PTA in order to attend any PTA meetings or events we have.
We encourage you to reach out to us throughout the year to address any needs or concerns. We are here to assist you in any way we can so please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also join our group on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/wsspta/) to keep up-to-date on events and important school information. Our PTA meetings are posted on the school calendar and we will also send out reminders.
Thank you in advance for your support and we hope you have a wonderful school year!
