Smith Street Elementary School Scholars Receive Backpacks Full of Supplies

Backpacks Donated by ADI Global Distribution and Mission 500

Uniondale Union Free School District’s Smith Street Elementary School recently received a donation of school supplies from ADI Global Distribution. In partnership with Mission 500, representatives from ADI delivered backpacks to the school filled with crayons, glue sticks, markers, pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks, pencil sharpeners, drawing paper, a small paint set, toothbrushes and toothpaste and individual letters of encouragement to the scholars.

“We are incredibly thankful to ADI Global Distribution and Mission 500 for their extremely generous donation that will have a lasting impact on our scholars,” said Principal Dr. Lynnda Nadien.
“These backpacks will provide essential supplies to set our scholars up for success this summer and into the next school year.”

“With inflation nearing a 40-year high, the price of everything has increased,” said Superintendent of
Schools Dr. Monique Darrisaw-Akil. “ADI and Mission 500 have graciously stepped up in this time of financial challenge for many families in our community and across the country. We are grateful for the relief they have provided our Smith Street families in the form of school supplies for the upcoming school year. Thank you, ADI Global Distribution and Mission 500, for coming to Smith Street to distribute these backpacks to our scholars. The Smith Street community is immensely thankful.”
